Would you like some insider knowledge??

Do you shoot video for your businesses marketing?
Or perhaps you’ve begun to post videos to socials directly from your mobile?

We would like to share 3 quick tips with you that will assist in making your future posts more impactful.

1. Framing
Framing and composition of your shots deal with what details are inside the shot and what is omitted.
This is important because it directs the audience’s attention to what is important in your video or film.

When we are filming an interview, we use the rule of thirds framing technique. This is because it is pleasing on the eye for the audience watching but also because the interviewee is looking off camera to create a more natural and authentic feel.

2. B ROLL
When it comes to supplementary footage, each shot in a sequence is framing in various elements.
A wide shot for example has the location visible to help establish where the shot is set. Use your framing intentionally to help add layers to the storytelling of your films and videos.

2. Filming Outside
When it comes to filming outside, try and film when the sun is at its lowest points in the sky. Dawn or Dusk.
You may have heard of the term the golden hour, that’s shooting at dusk and capturing that stunning, flattering golden light.
In any case where you can’t avoid filming in the middle of the day when the light isn’t as flattering – you must then use diffused light!
